Our new monthly yarn subscription box 'Knit New Zealand' is going to be a lighthearted journey through the different colours we see as quintessentially New Zealand. First off the block will be a cheeky little Piwakawaka (fantail), featuring rich browns through to touches of gold (see photo). 

 

Rather than the typical selection of NZ flora and fauna, we'll also be endeavouring to represent New Zealand's vibrant culture and scenery  in yarn over an eight month subscription. Your first box will be dispatched in the first week of April, then monthly after that. 

 

Each month we will send you a skein of hand dyed 4 ply knitting yarn. The yarn will be high twist and contain a component that makes it suitable for knitting socks, not that you have to use if for that of course. We purchase our base yarn from a New Zealand source where it is grown and processed as that cuts down on the environmental impact of importing yarn. We test knit each colourway to make sure it presents beautifully in its stitched out form.
